Manchester Serviced Flats Company Goes Bust
You Are Home, which provided service apartments for business travellers, has been placed in creditors’ voluntary liquidation.
According to a company statement: “We, the directors, have been considering the company’s financial position with our advisors and have unfortunately concluded as the company is insolvent as it cannot pay its debts as they fall due, that we have no option but to cease trading and are therefore unable to continue to offer our services to you.” The firm’s website has now been closed down.
The company said its liquidators would be in touch with creditors to “settle your account”. Companies House listed as David Cahill and David Hickey as the directors of Your Are Home.
The company, which was headquartered in Manchester, specialised in accommodation for those working in the media sector, such as production workers, and for short and long term stays, which could be from a week to six months plus.
Its properties, which were described as “accessible, comfortable and convenient”, were in Manchester City Centre, Salford’s Media City and Liverpool and the company claimed each tenant would be guaranteed their neighbour was “a fellow business traveller” and it “combined the 5* service of a hotel with all the comfort and convenience of your own home.”The business also provided a guest services team who were on hand 24 hours a day to help with providing information on the local area such as restaurant reservations, dry cleaning, cleaning and catering services and self-isolation support and it had achieved various certifications and accreditations including ISAAP Compliance, Albert Sustainability, Living Wage Employer, and the GM Good Employment Charter.
